Qualiphi has announced a strategic partnership with Tick & Talk, a human capital development company and the creator of Speekr.ai, the first experiential learning platform in the Middle East and North Africa that leverages AI-powered simulations to develop and assess human skills.
BUE
The partnership agreement was signed during a ceremony held at the Alumni Lounge of the British University in Egypt (BUE), a venue chosen to reflect the founders’ shared connection as BUE alumni. The event was attended by senior executives from both companies, along with university alumni, highlighting the growing role of the university’s alumni network in fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration among startup founders while creating new opportunities for professional growth.
AI-Powered Skills Assessment
Under the agreement, Speekr.ai’s AI-driven simulation and skills assessment engine will be integrated into Qualiphi’s Career Services Management (CSM) platform. The integration will provide career development centers with a unified system that supports students throughout their entire career journey, from self-discovery to job readiness and employment, while offering AI-powered training and real-time skills assessment.
Expanding Digital Career Infrastructure
The partnership is expected to extend its impact to millions of students across Egypt and the Middle East. Qualiphi’s digital infrastructure enables universities and schools to manage students’ complete career development journey, while Tick & Talk provides institutions with practical tools to build and measure essential human skills such as communication, interview performance, and workplace readiness, ultimately helping transform employment opportunities into sustainable career paths.
Through this integration, career development centers will be able to identify students’ strengths and skill gaps at an early stage, deliver personalized AI simulation exercises, monitor skills progression, and connect these insights with existing career guidance and recruitment tools.
Driving Innovation in Career Development
The collaboration demonstrates how Egyptian startups can combine their strengths to deliver innovative solutions for professional training and employability. Both Qualiphi and Speekr.ai are graduates of the EdTech Fellowship Program, implemented by EdVentures in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and a network of African innovation hubs and digital education accelerators.
The program provides financial support and specialized business development services to help startups scale and achieve long-term sustainability.
A Shared Vision for Integrated Solutions
Commenting on the partnership, Dalia Ibrahim, Founder and Chairperson of EdVentures, said: «We believe that the success of startups should not only be measured by the growth of individual companies, but also by their ability to collaborate and integrate their solutions to address real challenges in education and the labor market. The partnership between Qualiphi and Tick & Talk represents exactly the type of collaboration we aim to foster through the EdTech Fellowship Program in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. It demonstrates how startup relationships can evolve beyond support and incubation into strategic partnerships that create greater value for educational institutions and students alike.»
She added «By integrating career readiness solutions with AI-powered skills development and assessment technologies, we are not only expanding access but also accelerating the development of a more efficient and sustainable education ecosystem that prepares young people for the evolving demands of the job market in Egypt and across the region.»
Leveraging AI to Prepare Future Talent
Nevin Magdy, CEO of Qualiphi, noted that Egypt has one of the largest university-age populations in the region. With the number of graduates increasing every year, career development centers face growing pressure to prepare students for the workforce.
She explained that the integration with Tick & Talk will enable universities and schools to leverage AI and digital technologies to assess students’ skills, prepare them for employment, provide AI-powered interview and presentation training, and deliver evidence-based assessments that equip graduates with the competencies required by today’s labor market.
AI Simulation at Scale
Omar Hamada, CEO of Tick & Talk, said that integrating Speekr.ai into the Qualiphi platform will make AI-powered simulation exercises accessible to millions of students in Arabic, from secondary school through university graduation, enabling career development centers to deliver human skills training and assessment at scale.
Meanwhile, Dr. Amr Seda, Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor for Alumni and Career at The British University in Egypt, emphasized that the Alumni Office is committed to engaging graduates, strengthening lifelong relationships with them, and building a vibrant and connected alumni community. He noted that hosting the university’s first partnership signing ceremony between two alumni founders is a testament to this commitment, demonstrating the meaningful collaborations, innovative ventures, and new opportunities that can emerge from a strong alumni network.
