Housing and Development Properties Partners with EPower To Manage Electricity and Water Networks Across Its Projects

Housing and Development Properties (HDP), the real estate arm of Housing & Development Bank, has signed a cooperation agreement with EPower, the licensed Egyptian company to distribute and sell electricity, to manage, operate and maintain electricity and water networks across HDP developments. The agreement was signed by Eng. Amgad Hassanein, Vice Chairman of Housing & Development Properties (HDP), and Eng. Ahmed Nada, CEO and Managing Director of EPower. This partnership reflects HDP’s commitment to deliver integrated living livelihoods supported by reliable and sustainable infrastructure that enhances customer wellbeing. It also reinforces the company’s strategy to develop fully serviced communities that align with global benchmarks and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
Under the agreement, EPower will manage, operate and maintain medium and low voltage electricity distribution networks. The company will also contract directly with customers to supply electricity and water, install the latest electricity and water metering systems, oversee their operation, issue monthly consumption bills and collect payments in accordance with the published tariffs set by the Egyptian Electric Utility and Consumer Protection Regulatory Agency and the Egyptian Water and Wastewater Regulatory Agency. The agreement further includes carrying out maintenance works and providing spare parts to ensure uninterrupted service, in addition to overseeing all implementation and operational phases according to the highest quality and safety standards. This ensures a more efficient utility management and enhances the reliability and quality of electricity and water services, and enhances customer and investor confidence in HDP’s developments, reinforcing its position as a trusted destination for living and investment.

The agreement covers seven of HDP’s flagship developments, including Club Hills, Westview, and Terrace in West Cairo; Tadla, Square One Exclusive Residences and The Gray in East Cairo; in addition to The Island in Marina 5 on the North Coast. EPower will supervise the implementation of electrical networks and provide after-sales and technical support to ensure best performance and reliability.
