Caishny, an electronic payments company, recorded financial transactions worth EGP 600 million during the first half of 2026, as the company targets expanding its branch network to 130 outlets across Egypt by the end of the year, with a particular focus on Upper Egypt. The expansion is part of Caishny’s strategy to support financial inclusion, accelerate digital transformation, and expand access to electronic financial services.

Ahmed Saeed, Board Member of Caishny, said the company contributes to reducing reliance on cash transactions by supporting the state’s efforts to advance financial inclusion and digital transformation across government entities where cash payments are not permitted.

He explained that Caishny provides specialized service points, in addition to issuing bank cards to individuals who are unable to obtain them through traditional banks. The cards are issued and activated within the shortest possible time, enabling customers to use them immediately.

Saeed added that Caishny currently operates 110 branches, including 86 branches located within traffic units, with a presence across 17 governorates. The company aims to reach 130 outlets by the end of 2026, expanding its footprint to 21 governorates.

Caishny currently processes approximately 4,000 transactions per day through its branch network, including the issuance, activation, and top-up of bank cards within minutes, in cooperation with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) and Banque Misr. This enables customers to use their cards immediately without lengthy procedures.

Saeed noted that the company records monthly transactions worth EGP 100 million, bringing the total value of transactions to approximately EGP 600 million during the first half of 2026.

Caishny also operates within a number of government entities, including the Civil Status Sector, the Ministry of Defense through its affiliated outlets, the Ministry of Justice, and the Ministry of Transport, in addition to providing its services across the investment, local development, and passport sectors.

The company also operates a dedicated branch for automotive market services, providing customers with the same range of financial services and offering flexible solutions to meet their needs.

Commenting on the future of digital payments in Egypt, Saeed expected the sector to continue growing in the coming period, supported by the state’s focus on advancing digital transformation in line with Egypt’s Vision 2030. This growth is expected to contribute to improving the efficiency of money management and supporting the objectives of the country’s economic vision.

He explained that one of the key challenges facing the market is the continued reliance on cash transactions. Caishny is working to change this culture through awareness campaigns on social media, encouraging citizens to use official and licensed financial channels.

Saeed emphasized that Caishny is intensifying its digital marketing and awareness efforts to promote the importance of electronic payments and encourage citizens to deal directly with official entities while avoiding unauthorized intermediaries. These efforts aim to safeguard customers’ funds, reduce the risk of exploitation, support the state’s financial inclusion objectives, and expand access to financial services for all citizens, ultimately integrating a larger segment of the population into the formal banking system.
