Majid Al Futtaim—a leading pioneer in shopping malls, communities, retail, and leisure across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia—has unveiled Spaces, a state-of-the-art flexible workspace by International Workplace Group (IWG). Located at the heart of Mall of Egypt, Spaces offers a contemporary environment where entrepreneurs, professionals, students, and creatives can work, meet, and connect. The new destination features private offices, meeting rooms, and collaborative areas that seamlessly combine productivity with convenience and community.
The launch marks a significant step in transforming Mall of Egypt into a true 360° destination—where visitors can shop, dine, be entertained, and now work—all under one roof. By integrating lifestyle, productivity, and leisure, the mall continues to evolve in response to the changing needs of modern consumers, reinforcing Majid Al Futtaim’s commitment to innovation and enriching everyday life.
International Workplace Group, the leading global platform for work including Spaces and Regus, features thousands of flexible workspace locations in more than 120 countries across the globe, with members able to access all of the locations and business services via the IWG app. The opening of Spaces Mall of Egypt marks the brands debut in the market, bringing IWG’s footprint to 30 workplaces across Egypt.
Commenting on the announcement, Rasha Azab, Managing Director – Shopping Malls, Egypt and Lebanon at Majid Al Futtaim, said “Mall of Egypt continues to be the mall of endless possibilities—a place that evolves with the aspirations of our community. From empowering youth and entrepreneurs to creating spaces that inspire creativity, innovation, and connection, this launch reflects our vision of shaping vibrant destinations where everyone can grow, learn, and thrive.”
She added, “Through this strategic partnership, we bring Majid Al Futtaim’s vision of ‘Creating Great Moments for Everyone, Every Day’ to life—expanding beyond retail into new, experience-driven spaces that enrich daily life. The opening of Spaces strengthens Mall of Egypt’s position as a destination offering flexible and inspiring work environments that cater to today’s entrepreneurs, students, and professionals.”
On this occasion Marc Descrozaille, CEO MEAAPAC, IWG stated: “We are excited to partner with Majid Al Futtaim to introduce our ‘Spaces’ brand to the Egyptian market at a premier destination like Mall of Egypt. The demand for high-quality, flexible workspaces is accelerating, and this new center is a testament to our commitment to meeting the needs of the modern workforce across the region. By integrating our workspace concept within a vibrant retail environment, we are providing a unique, convenient, and inspiring solution for businesses and professionals embracing the significant benefits of hybrid work.”
Youssef Najeeb, IWG Country Manager for Egypt elaborated: “Companies across Egypt are increasingly embracing the tangible benefits of the hybrid model, proven to boost employee productivity and well-being while supporting a more sustainable work culture. Our flexible solutions provide businesses with critical financial and operational agility, enabling them to scale on demand at a significantly reduced cost.”
The opening of Spaces at Mall of Egypt is part of a broader regional expansion partnerships, where four new Regus and Spaces locations were opened at Majid Al Futtaim destinations across Oman, Egypt, and the UAE starting 2025, adding nearly 7,000 square metres of premium workspace to IWG’s Middle East and Africa network. The sites include City Centre Qurum, City Centre Sohar, City Centre Deira, and now Mall of Egypt—bringing high-quality, convenient, and collaborative work environments to even more communities across the region.
