Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates is participating in the 9th edition of Food Africa 2024, which will be held from December 3 to 5, 2024, at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo. The event hosts over 1,000 local and international exhibitors.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Engineer Hassan El-Khatib, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, in the presence of prominent representatives from major local and international companies.
Exhibitions as a platform for expansion and export enhancement
Eng. Ahmed El-Sebai, General Manager of Egyptian Swiss Group, emphasized the company’s annual commitment to participating in Food Africa, which is considered an excellent opportunity for companies aiming to expand into African and Arab markets.
He highlighted that the exhibition has become an international gateway for companies to expand their customer base, secure new deals, and meet with current clients. Over the years, it has proven its ability to attract major global companies and achieve distinguished international participation.
El-Sebai added that the group is striving to expand into new markets in the coming period, emphasizing the importance of risk distribution and diversifying target markets, especially amid global economic changes.
Expansion plans in Africa and the Americas
El-Sebai outlined the group’s plans to enter West African markets as well as North and South American markets in the near future. He affirmed that increasing production capacity is a pivotal step toward achieving this expansion.
The group is currently adding a new flour production line with a capacity of 400 tons per day, along with a new spaghetti production line with a capacity of 4 tons per hour.
About Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates
Established in 1995, Egyptian Swiss Group started its operations by trading flour following the deregulation of prices. The group later expanded by setting up flour mills in Assiut and Borg El Arab to distribute its products in the local market.
In 2005, it inaugurated a pasta factory in 10th of Ramadan City with a production capacity of 7,500 tons per month, and a tomato paste factory with a production capacity of 3,500 tons per month.
Currently, the group owns a massive mill with two production lines and a total capacity of 1,500 tons per day, along with wheat storage silos with a capacity of up to 50,000 tons.
Food Africa 2024
Food Africa has successfully become a prime destination for local and international companies. Exhibitors from 39 countries, including Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Germany, Brazil, Russia, China, and the United States, are participating. Turkey is the guest of honor for this edition, reflecting the international dimension of this event.
