Orange Egypt has signed a strategic partnership with Marakez, Egypt’s leading mixed-use real estate developer, to develop digital infrastructure and provide integrated telecommunications services and smart solutions across four of its flagship residential and commercial developments: Ramla, District 5, Aeon Towers, and Mall of Arabia. The partnership aims to support the development of more connected communities, enhance the experience of residents, visitors, and businesses, and create long-term value that strengthens the sustainability and future competitiveness of these projects.
The partnership reflects Orange Egypt and Marakez’s shared vision of leveraging cutting-edge telecommunications technologies and digital innovation to create integrated communities and mixed-use destinations supported by advanced digital infrastructure, ultimately improving quality of life while providing a more efficient and connected experience.
Under the agreement, Orange Egypt will design, deploy, and operate a comprehensive suite of advanced telecommunications networks and digital services across several Marakez developments, enhancing their readiness to meet the evolving demands of digital transformation while addressing the growing needs of residents, businesses, and visitors through superior connectivity, digital integration, and smart services.
At Ramla on Egypt’s North Coast, Orange Egypt will provide Triple Play services, including ultra-fast broadband internet, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV), and fixed-line voice services. The company will also deploy public Wi-Fi networks across beach areas and provide high-speed internet services to hotels and commercial units, further enhancing the visitor experience and reinforcing Ramla’s position as a fully integrated destination combining hospitality, leisure, and commercial services.
At District 5 in New Cairo, the partnership includes the delivery of Triple Play services to all residential units, in addition to high-speed internet connectivity for businesses and commercial units. These services will help to create a seamlessly linked community powered by innovative digital solutions, which aligns with District 5’s vision of an integrated development that mixes dynamic urban life with the peacefulness of modern residential neighborhoods.
At Aeon Towers in 6th of October City, Orange Egypt will deploy advanced Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) networks, providing a high-performance digital infrastructure capable of supporting the needs of both residents and businesses while meeting the requirements of the future digital
economy. The company will also provide ultra-fast internet services to commercial units, further enhancing the integrated lifestyle experience offered by the development, the first residential tower project of its kind in West Cairo.
At Mall of Arabia, the partnership includes the implementation and development of an intelligent CCTV surveillance system for the project’s first phase, alongside the deployment of public Wi-Fi services for mall visitors, enhancing the customer experience while improving operational efficiency at one of Egypt’s premier retail and entertainment destinations.
Commenting on the partnership, Eng. Mohamed Shebl, Chief Business Officer at Orange Egypt, said:
“This collaboration is another strategic milestone that underscores Orange Egypt’s role as an integrated technology partner in constructing the digital infrastructure of contemporary urban areas. Today, modern telecommunications services are a critical foundation for creating more efficient, connected, and future-ready communities that can keep up with changing digital demands.”
For his part, Hesham Shoukry, Chief Operations Officer at Marakez, said:
“This partnership represents an important step in advancing our vision of developing integrated communities built on the latest digital solutions and smart infrastructure. We firmly believe that technology has become a key enabler of enhanced quality of life and superior experiences for residents, visitors, and businesses. Our collaboration with Orange Egypt – a strategic partner with the expertise and capabilities to deliver advanced telecommunications solutions – supports our ambitions across Ramla, District 5, Aeon Towers, and Mall of Arabia. We look forward to delivering a more efficient and sustainable connectivity experience for our customers while creating long-term value for our developments and meeting the demands of the future.”
