Ora Iraq has officially transitioned the “Al-Ward City” development into its structural construction phase by awarding the primary building contract for Phase 1 to Construction & Reconstruction Engineering Company – Dorra (CRC Dorra). The signing ceremony was attended by Naguib Sawiris, Chairman of Ora, alongside Mohamed Dorra, Vice Chairman of Dorra Group. This agreement marks a key operational step, reflecting Ora’s strategy of partnering with established international contractors to realize its architectural vision in Iraq.
Site Preparation Completed to Pave Way for Building Works
The agreement follows the completion of initial site prep works by Chinese contractor PowerChina, which executed all land grading, earthworks, and foundation soil preparations for the first phase. The completion of these earthworks clears the site for CRC Dorra to commence structural construction, building directly upon previous site progress.
