Vodafone Egypt Reports EGP 37.7 Billion Revenue in Six Months

Vodafone Egypt has achieved a significant milestone, reaching a customer base of 50 million subscribers and approximately 9.6 million active users of its “Vodafone Cash” digital wallet service. This unprecedented accomplishment reflects the growing trust of Egyptian customers in Vodafone’s diverse services, which cater to their evolving needs.

In a post on LinkedIn, Vodafone Egypt’s CEO, Mohamed Abdallah, announced that the company generated total revenues of EGP 37.7 billion during the six-month period ending September 30, 2024. This performance highlights strong financial growth and operational stability.

The growth of Vodafone Egypt is attributed to an increase in the customer base, with a notable rise in new subscribers and higher average customer spending. This success is driven by the variety of services offered, including data and internet packages that meet the increasing usage demands, alongside successful marketing strategies that have reached new customer segments through innovative campaigns.

In his post, Mohamed Abdallah emphasized Vodafone Egypt’s pivotal role in achieving digital and financial inclusion in Egypt, as well as supporting various bold initiatives aimed at driving digital transformation in the country through innovation.

To meet the rising demand for telecommunications services, Vodafone Egypt has heavily invested in developing its networks and expanding coverage. The company has also upgraded its infrastructure to support 5G technologies, which will provide ultra-fast internet speeds and innovative applications, following the recent acquisition of a license to operate 5G services in Egypt.

Abdallah expressed gratitude to everyone involved in achieving this historic milestone, attributing it to the dedicated efforts of the company’s workforce. He reaffirmed Vodafone Egypt’s commitment to continuous innovation and development to meet the growing needs of its customers and contribute to building a thriving digital society in Egypt.
