talabat Egypt, the leading technology platform in the online ordering across the Middle East and North Africa, has launched of a series of long-term and seasonal initiatives aimed at supporting, honoring, and motivating riders, who form a fundamental pillar of the platform’s success and the sustainability of its services.
These initiatives come as part of talabat’s commitment to fostering a sense of belonging, recognizing the efforts of outstanding riders, and providing a safe and comfortable work environment that contributes to supporting the Egyptian economy.
talabat will set up 16 designated rest areas for riders at select talabat mart’s dark stores across the country. These areas will feature protective canopies, comfortable seating, water, power outlets for charging devices, and clean restrooms. Nearly 12,000 riders are expected to benefit from these facilities.
Additionally, talabat also organized an “Engagement Day,” a special gathering for riders that includes activities and team-building experiences. A total of 550 riders are participating in these events, 250 in Cairo and 300 in Alexandria, highlighting talabat’s ongoing commitment to the well-being of the riders through sustainable, year-round initiatives, as well as others tailored to specific seasons.
In conjunction with the arrival of summer and the rise in temperatures, talabat has launched special initiatives for the riders to ensure their comfort and safety. These initiatives include the regular distribution of cold beverages, such as water and soft drinks in Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, and Mansoura. Ice cream is also distributed monthly throughout the summer season, benefiting 15,000 riders.
Additionally, talabat’s support goes beyond basic needs, as it also organized an “Aqua Park Day” for riders and their families, benefiting 250 riders. Reflecting talabat’s commitment to integrating social and recreational elements into riders’ lives.
talabat has also paid special attention to its female riders by organizing a beach day for them, and 108 free sunscreen products were distributed. Additionally, talabat announced the launch of the “Summer In-App Gamification” program, featuring weekly in-app questions. By the end of the summer, 300 winners will each receive a cash prize of EGP 1,000—highlighting talabat’s dedication to encouraging digital engagement and participation.
