Elon Musk’s social media platform X has resumed normal operations after experiencing significant outages, as reported by the online outage tracker Downdetector. The downtime affected thousands of users across the US and the UK.
As of 6:02 am (ET time), Downdetector recorded over 16,000 reports of issues with the platform. The site tracks outages by aggregating status reports from various sources.
X platform itself has neither provided an explanation on the matter nor a confirmation.
X, formerly known as Twitter, has undergone significant transformations since Musk’s acquisition in late 2022. The platform rebranding to X in July 2023 marked a departure from its original identity, introducing new features and policies under Musk’s leadership.
