NVIDIA Unveils DGX Spark, DGX Station Personal AI Supercomputers

The US-based leader in accelerated computing and AI technologies NVIDIA has announced the launch of its new personal AI supercomputers, the NVIDIA DGX Spark and DGX Station, powered by the cutting-edge NVIDIA Grace Blackwell platform, the platform announced on its blog.

What are the key Features of DGX Spark and DGX Station?

  • DGX Spark: Previously known as Project DIGITS, this compact supercomputer is designed to empower a wide range of users, from researchers to robotics developers. At its core is the NVIDIA GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip, which boasts a powerful NVIDIA Blackwell GPU, delivering up to 1,000 trillion operations per second. This capability allows users to work with the latest AI models, including the NVIDIA Cosmos Reason and GR00T N1.
  • DGX Station: This system brings data-center-level performance to desktop environments, featuring the GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip. With a massive 784GB of coherent memory space, it is optimized for large-scale training and inferencing tasks, enhancing productivity for AI development.

Both systems leverage NVIDIA’s NVLink technology to ensure high-speed data access and seamless integration with NVIDIA DGX Cloud, facilitating a smooth transition from local development to cloud deployment.

Industry Impact

Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized the transformative power of AI, stating, “It stands to reason a new class of computers would emerge — designed for AI-native developers and to run AI-native applications.” This innovation is expected to significantly enhance the capabilities of AI professionals, enabling them to operate at unprecedented speeds and efficiencies.

Availability

Reservations for the DGX Spark system are now open, while the DGX Station is anticipated to be available later this year through leading manufacturers such as ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.
