Nadia Mrabi: Orange Digital Centers Driving Sustainable Development Across 17 Nations; Leveraging Tech for Food Security and Healthcare

Under the banner “Orange Digital Center: Digital for All,” Nadia Mrabi, Director of CSR and Orange Digital Center Morocco, underscored that the company’s vision has transcended basic connectivity. According to Mrabi, Orange is now architecting an integrated ecosystem designed to serve local communities, positioning the group as a primary engine for sustainable development across 17 countries.

Speaking during a press tour of the ODC facility in Morocco, Mrabi highlighted the pivotal role of the “FabLab Solidaire” (Solidarity Digital Lab). The lab serves as a bridge between conceptualization and reality, enabling entrepreneurs to transform abstract ideas into tangible prototypes. “The ultimate goal,” Mrabi noted, “is to weaponize technology as a tool for economic empowerment.”

Mrabi cited several high-profile success stories as evidence of technology’s capacity to address critical global challenges:

  • Sand to Green: An AgTech innovator and winner of the 2025 International OSVP Award, which focuses on food security.
  • Waspito: An e-health platform demonstrating how digital infrastructure can revolutionize healthcare delivery.

The ODC strategy relies on a wide-reaching geographical footprint through “ODC Clubs” embedded within universities. These clubs provide students with direct access to specialized training and project support, with a curriculum heavily weighted toward future-proof disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cybersecurity.

Mrabi emphasized that this mission is not peripheral but central to the company’s identity. Orange has formalized this commitment in its periodic report, “Impact at the Heart of Our Governance,” ensuring that social contribution is baked into the group’s core operational DNA.

The Orange Digital Centers function as a comprehensive pipeline, beginning with the Coding School—which offers free technical training—and culminating in Orange Ventures, a venture capital arm deploying €50 million in investments for high-growth startups.

By offering a seamless ecosystem of free training, mentorship, and funding in fields like Software Development, Data Analytics, and AI, the ODC network has established itself as the group’s most influential social arm. It now serves as the gold standard for youth empowerment and digital labor market readiness across Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa.
