«Massive Cyberattack Hits X Globally»: Elon Musk Confirms

Elon Musk’s social media platform X has experience a massive cyber attack, Misk’s confirmed in a post on the platform.

This confirmation comes after the huge outage hit the Musk’s platform in the UK and the US for about 30 minutes on Monday.

According to Musk’s post: “There was (still is) a massive cyberattack against 𝕏. We get attacked every day, but this was done with a lot of resources. Either a large, coordinated group and/or a country is involved”.

X resumed this morning its normal operations after experiencing significant outages, as reported by the online outage tracker Downdetector. The downtime affected thousands of users across the US and the UK.

As of 6:02 am (ET time), Downdetector recorded over 16,000 reports of issues with the platform. The site tracks outages by aggregating status reports from various sources.

X platform itself has neither provided an explanation on the matter nor a confirmation at the time.

X, formerly known as Twitter, has undergone significant transformations since Musk’s acquisition in late 2022. The platform rebranding to X in July 2023 marked a departure from its original identity, introducing new features and policies under Musk’s leadership.
