EMTELAAK Group welcomed the Financial Regulatory Authority’s (FRA) decision to grant EMTELAAK Real Estate Projects Fund Company a license to operate a real estate investment fund, marking a new step in the group’s strategy to develop regulated investment products linked to the real estate sector.
The group aims to introduce investment tools based on governance, transparency, and disclosure, providing investors with clear information about the nature of assets, potential sources of returns, investment periods, associated risks, expenses, and available exit mechanisms.
Magdy El Yamany, Chairman of EMTELAAK Real Estate Projects Fund Company, said the license represents an important milestone in the company’s strategy, paving the way for the development of specialized real estate investment opportunities under the “EMTELAAK Tharwa” platform.
The planned products are designed to be linked to specific assets or real estate sectors and investment strategies, with each product subject to the applicable legal framework, offering documents, and regulatory approvals.
What Does EMTELAAK Target Through “EMTELAAK Tharwa”?
Through “EMTELAAK Tharwa,” EMTELAAK plans to develop a range of specialized real estate investment products covering different sectors, while providing investors with clear information regarding the investment structure, expected returns, associated risks, investment duration, and exit mechanisms.
The targeted sectors include education, commercial and administrative assets, hospitality and hotels, as well as residential real estate, including both projects under development and existing income-generating assets.
“EMTELAAK Mostaqbal”.. Products Linked to Education and Housing
In parallel, EMTELAAK Group is studying the development of investment products under the “EMTELAAK Mostaqbal” platform, focusing on socially oriented sectors, particularly education and housing.
The legal and financial structure of these products, as well as their targeted returns and potential social impact, will be determined through the relevant offering documents and subject to the required regulatory approvals.
The investment models under consideration may seek to generate potential capital appreciation through real estate development and subsequent exit, potential rental or operating income, or a combination of recurring income and potential growth in asset values.
Through these initiatives, EMTELAAK Group seeks to expand regulated real estate investment solutions and contribute to diversifying investment tools available in the Egyptian real estate market.
