Arab Therapy, a leading AI-powered mental health platform, founded by Dr. Tareq Dalbah (CEO) and Hekmat Al Hasi (CPTO), today announced the closing of a $2 million Pre-Series A funding round, led by Manara Ventures (Jordan) with participation from Anara Impact Fund (MENA), and VMS (Saudi Arabia).
Expansion
The investment will accelerate Arab Therapy’s expansion across Saudi Arabia and the rest of the region, scale its integrated AI-powered mental health platform, help more individuals access personalized mental healthcare and enable organizations to proactively improve employee wellbeing at scale.
Arab Therapy was founded in Berlin, Germany by Jordanian founders, and currently operates across Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Germany, and Egypt. The company provides an AI-powered mental health platform featuring a comprehensive mental health content library, a suite of native Arabic AI mental health tools, and online therapy sessions delivered by licensed specialists. The platform’s clinical framework is supervised by certified professionals affiliated with the University of Hamburg, Germany.
Arab Therapy serves both individuals and organizations through two models: a consumer-facing platform (B2C) and enterprise programs (B2B) designed to improve employee wellbeing and mental health.
Addressing One of the World’s Largest Underserved Mental Health Markets
Demand for mental health support for Arabs across the globe continues to grow, while access to culturally and linguistically appropriate care remains limited. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health services remain significantly under-resourced across many countries in the region. At the same time, findings from the Arab Barometer indicate growing awareness of mental wellbeing and an increasing willingness among Arabs to seek professional support.
Despite more than 400 million Arabic speakers across the Middle East and North Africa, alongside an estimated 30–50 million Arabs living in the diaspora, the global digital mental health landscape remains largely dominated by English-language platforms. This leaves a substantial gap for clinically validated, culturally relevant, and Arabic-first digital mental health solutions designed to meet the needs of one of the world’s largest underserved language communities.
